This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large quantities in stock, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is supplied for data recovery and hard drive repair purposes. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration/configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If feasible, a local computer technician can move the ROM chip to the new PCB. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the replacement board or reprograms the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
