Product is the hard drive logic board (PCB) ONLY — no HDD included. We stock large quantities, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique configuration data in the ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
