This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive parameters in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically relocated, a local computer technician should be able to perform the task. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
