This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board shipped may differ slightly from the pictured item. The board is supplied for HDD repair and data-recovery purposes. To confirm a PCB replacement will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique calibration/firmware data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant; otherwise the ROM data needs to be written to the new PCB.
