This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Due to large stock quantities, the PCB shipped may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. Compatible with Seagate ST3500414CS (9GW142-193, SC13, 5701 AL) SATA 3.5 drives and intended for use in data recovery or drive repair. Before ordering, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; this ROM data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
