This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive mechanism is NOT included. Compatible with Seagate ST3500414CS; PCB identifiers: 9GW142-160, CA12, 5701 V. Due to our large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair tasks. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap is appropriate by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and the Donor Matching Guide to confirm compatibility. Important: most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function properly, so the ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
