This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no complete hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive parameters in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot transplant the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
