This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured item. Designed for data recovery and drive repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part. To confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If relocation of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
