This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service—either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
