This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible Seagate SATA 3.5" drives. Note: many hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or reprogrammed onto it. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can typically transplant or reflash the ROM chip.
