This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery, this replacement PCB can be used when compatible with your drive. To determine whether a PCB swap will resolve your issue, follow our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirm compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs hold unique, drive-specific information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct operation. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be moved to or written onto the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either physically moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
