This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery procedures. Most Seagate PCBs store unique information in a ROM (the "memory" chip) that is essential for the drive to operate; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the ROM chip is possible, a local computer professional should be able to perform the transplant.
