This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included! Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair or data recovery, this PCB can be used as a replacement part when compatible. Before buying, confirm compatibility by checking our Donor Matching Guide and follow the hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
