This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair applications. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM memory chip; that information must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the ROM chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the board with the correct ROM data.
