This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Intended use: replacement for data recovery or hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration and calibration data in a ROM memory chip. That ROM data (or the ROM chip itself) must be transferred or written to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
