This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: repair or data recovery for compatible Seagate drives. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of the hard drive circuit boards contain unique information in ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
