This sale is for the Seagate hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. The PCBs ship from bulk inventory, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This part is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that contains essential drive-specific data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
