This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. These PCBs are intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Because we stock a large quantity, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow the Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. You must either transfer the ROM chip or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM contents. If migration of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the soldering or chip swap. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or programming the new board with the proper ROM data.
