Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for drive repair and data recovery tasks, this PCB should be verified for compatibility before use. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM contents are required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
