This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks, this circuit board is intended as a replacement component. Most of these boards store critical information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
