This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair, this PCB is a replacement component for Seagate drives. Many hard drive circuit boards contain drive-specific information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the new board. If transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
