This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the Seagate hard drive is not included. Because we stock many circuit boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photos. The board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If you cannot relocate the ROM chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the board with the correct ROM data.
