This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
