This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Intended use: HDD repair or data recovery. Many Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
