This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no drive is included. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Most Seagate boards store unique drive-specific data in a ROM “memory” chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB—if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap.
