This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We carry a large quantity of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Most hard drive PCBs store unique firmware and configuration in a ROM ("memory") chip; this information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
