This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory, the actual PCB shipped may differ slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. To verify that a replacement board will resolve your problem, please use our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
