Product is the hard drive circuit board only (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. To confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM “memory” chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM chip, or its stored data, must be moved to or programmed into the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
