This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock many of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique ROM ("memory") data that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
