This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most HDD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If physical transfer of the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the soldering. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
