This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large quantity of these PCBs in stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many Seagate PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that information is required for correct operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the board with the correct ROM data.
