Because we ship from a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Use: This PCB is intended for HDD repair or data recovery tasks. Important: Many hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration and microcode stored in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for proper operation. Services: If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
