This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes; confirm that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique factory information on a ROM (memory) chip, and that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical relocation of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
