This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm whether a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique service data in the ROM memory chip; that ROM content is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
