This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
