This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
