Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Many drive PCBs store unique calibration and firmware data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
