This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Many Seagate PCBs store critical configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
