This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip — or the data it contains — must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
