This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for data recovery and hard drive repair on compatible Seagate drives. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM 'memory' chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programs the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
