Sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the picture. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a PCB replacement will fix your unit, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to transplant it. For purchases of $60 or more, we offer a complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the proper ROM data.
