This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most Seagate PCBs contain a unique ROM ("memory") chip whose data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
