This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Photos are representative; because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the image shown. These PCBs are intended for HDD repair and data-recovery work. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate boards store unique service data in a ROM chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the board with the proper ROM data.
