This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the physical hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photographs. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Many Seagate PCBs contain a ROM chip with unique firmware/data required for normal drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
