This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the Seagate hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement is appropriate by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique information in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
