This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot move the ROM chip yourself, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip to your new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
