This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is supplied. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the unit you receive may look slightly different than the photo. Intended use: HDD repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most drive circuit boards include unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the proper ROM data. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
