This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB is the correct remedy by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
