This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify whether a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many Seagate PCBs contain unique configuration stored in the ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
