This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep a large inventory, the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair work. Before buying, confirm that a replacement PCB will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or written to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
